Gourette Eaux-Bonnes, a ski resort in the Atlantic Pyrenees, is located on a natural circus facing full South. Between the Coch and Pène-Blanque sectors, overlooked by the Pic de Latte de Bazen, just to the West of the pic du Sanctus and the Pène Médaa (2520m), the Gourette ski village has very good snow conditions. Gourette offers all sorts of sports: torch lit ski descents, snowpark, tobogganing run, boardercross… Gourette is a handiski resort because it is equipped with passages reserved to ski lifts for physically disabled people who are ski fanatics, and offers ski lessons and hikes in wheelchairs. In 2008, the Gourette ski resort obtained the ISO 14001 norm, that concerns environmental management (reduction of noise disturbances during the snowmaking process, for example). Every winter, the resort offers telemark initiation weekends and many other sports events: torch lit ski descents, slalom races…
